Light Up The Darkness

How exciting to see the Harbor Christian community in full gear with ROAD TRIP 2019!

This is an exciting time, as we collaborate with non-profit organizations in our region, working together to bring justice to our under-resourced and marginalized neighbors. The holiday spirit is embodied in our collective effort as we "hit the road"-serving all around South Puget Sound in the place of our weekly gathering at Gig Harbor High School the weekend of December 8th.

Several have asked why the date of Road Trip has been adjusted from Thanksgiving Weekend to the second Sunday in December. Good question! The reason is: Gig Harbor High School, where we presently meet, will be hosting their annual Tidefest on the weekend of December 8th.

This great event utilizes both gyms and the GHHS lobby, hosting over 100 artists selling everything from glass art, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, and clothing to paintings, wood products, and leather bags.  As a result, Tidefest creates the window of opportunity to engage in our annual Road Trip effort.

If you haven't had a chance to look at some of the available projects, go to Serve253.com to see serving opportunities and donation possibilities. You can also meet project leaders on Sunday morning after the 10:00 am service and learn more about how you can be involved in making a difference in someone's life.

Thank you!  Together we can work to “Light Up The Darkness” as reflections of God's love and grace.
