WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Jesus was baptized, and since then, millions of His followers have followed His example. Baptism is a way for us to do the same and join with believers around the world in a shared step of faith. It is an outward expression of an inward transformation—a way to publicly declare our faith and our commitment to follow Jesus. (Matthew 3:13–17; Acts 2:41)
Baptism itself does not save us or wash away sin. Rather, it is a symbol and celebration of the new life we have through Jesus Christ. In baptism, we identify with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Going under the water represents our old life being buried with Christ, and coming out of the water represents the new life we have in Him through His resurrection. (Romans 6:3–4; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

WHY BAPTISM?
Jesus instructed His followers to be baptized, making it an important step of obedience for every believer. Baptism is an opportunity to publicly share your faith, celebrate what God has done in your life, and take a next step in your relationship with Him. (Matthew 28:19–20)
