The First Step

When we last posted an update, the sale of the Hope Center was moving forward with the Peninsula School District. The projected closing date is June 30th.  As this sale proceeds, we have several impacts to HCC operations:

We are pleased to announce we have secured a great office space at the corner of Rosedale and Stinson.  This space, which feels like we are in the center of activity in the Harbor, gives us room to grow as an organization. It allows flexibility by providing offices, as well as small group training and meeting rooms.  We are excited to partner with Harbor Care Center in this facility as they continue to grow as an organization, meeting the needs of the most vulnerable in our community.

We have also secured additional storage space for equipment we use during the year for auxiliary ministries. It can no longer be left at the Hope Center after the school begins operations.

In coming weeks, as we begin to finalize our office lease, the HCC Council will be coming to you as the HCC community with resolutions that require a vote.  This protocol follows the procedures outlined by our Foursquare denominational by-laws. This will occur on a Sunday morning at both services through our HCC App.

In the interim, please continue to pray for God’s leading for both the short term – in our continued use of the Hope Center facility on Sundays – and in the long term, planning for further development of the Gig Harbor North property.
