Day 20

##**TODAY'S SCRIPTURE**
Luke 13:18-22 (The Message)
Then he said, “How can I picture God’s kingdom for you? What kind of story can I use? It’s like a pine nut that a man plants in his front yard. It grows into a huge pine tree with thick branches, and eagles build nests in it.” He tried again. “How can I picture God’s kingdom? It’s like yeast that a woman works into enough dough for three loaves of bread—and waits while the dough rises.” He went on teaching from town to village, village to town, but keeping on a steady course toward Jerusalem.

###**THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:**
Picturing God’s Kingdom, daily, is what my heart desires. Like yeast, what is tiny has a significant impact. Time is required. The process cannot be rushed.

###**A PRAYER FOR MY LIFE:**
Jesus, your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Open our eyes to the small, but significant. Keep us at a slow pace to see your hand at work.

###**A PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH:**
Father, as a community together, open our eyes to your kingdom come, together as your body, in our neighborhood, our workplace and in our families. Amen
