An Intentional Giving Moment

This year has been challenging in the life of our country and the world as we continue to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, in the midst of uncertainty, there has been a lot of good things happening in our church and community because of your generosity.

Thank you for your faithfulness in attendance, both online and in person. Your willingness to faithfully serve and give this year continues to fulfill our mission “to help people find and follow Jesus.”
  • Every Sunday, Ron Martinez, Mike Waclawski, and their team show up at 6:30 am, unload trailers, set up our stage and screen, and put out chairs. They have set up more than 80,000 chairs in the last five years. Each chair provides the opportunity for a person to “find and follow Jesus.”

  • In January, Ann Webb received a call from a mother looking for her 5th-grade son to join a group and explore a relationship with Jesus. She and her husband are not church attenders but wanted to support their son in his journey. He joined our Merge Small group and came in the door every Tuesday bursting with excitement to be able to talk about what he had read in his Bible and learned during the week and explore what faith looks like with the other 4th and 5th graders. In June, he was baptized in front of his entire family, friends, and HCC family.

  • The adaptations to safe gatherings with social distancing and compliance practices have resulted in online attendance growth (through the HCC App, HCCtoday.org). We are now averaging 500 individuals attending online and 250 attending in person per week at HCC’s weekend worship experience.

  • We have been very creative and provided opportunities for people to follow Jesus in water baptism. Our motto is “Wherever there is water; there is potential for baptism.” This past year we baptized over 30 people.

So as we wrap this year up and look forward to a brand new year, I would like to encourage you to prayerfully consider a year-end gift beyond your present generosity. You can give in many creative ways like stocks, appreciated assets, IRA distribution, etc. (For a list, CLICK HERE)

Some of you have been asking about our future facility. We will be in the design process starting in January 2022. An account has been set up for those who would like to give for the building.

Again, thank you for your generosity and year-end gift.

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

See you on Sunday, December 12th, for our next series…
