Dream BIG!
Our HCC Small groups are presently working through 5 sessions with Bob Goff with the "DREAM BIG" series.
Bob says, "God has a wild and exciting dream for your life, and it is time to take the necessary steps to see it clearly and make it a reality."
One of those steps is to deal with our setbacks. The things that come along and blindside us, causing us to be unprepared, foolish, and maybe embarrassed that we didn't see it coming.
None of us saw this pandemic coming. The ripple effects on our lives, both relationally and economically, has left some in a bewildered and confused state.
Yet, God still has a BIG DREAM for each one of us. It's not over!
I once read that "every set back is a set up for a great comeback." If you're a sports fan, you saw a great illustration of that this past Sunday with the Seahawks trailing by 5 points, come back and with 15 seconds left in the game, score a touch down against the Minnesota Vikings to win the game. Unreal!
Most comebacks are not as dramatic as that. They are usually gradual, require patience and tenacity. Yet the truth is, no matter how your life has been affected during this pandemic, "God still has a wild and exciting dream for your life." He is not giving up, so don't give up on yourself.
Revive that dream with this great promise from Proverbs 3:5, "Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight."
