HCC Update Regarding Live Services
As we begin the seventh month of following the Washington COVID Guidelines for faith community gatherings, I want to update you on what we are doing to move us forward in having services on Sunday mornings.
First, we have communicated with the school district, letting them know we are ready to relaunch our Sunday services. All of our tech and sound equipment is mounted in the gym with lights, projectors, speakers are all wired and connected to the gym ceiling so that we can reproduce our Sunday morning experience as we had at the Hope Center. We are preparing to train all of our volunteers with the COVID protocols in place for our first Sunday gathering. We're now waiting for the school district to give us the go-ahead.
Secondly, we are exploring other creative and temporary options to bring HCC together at a different location and time until the school district allows us to meet at Gig Harbor High school.
We have contacted the Galaxy Theater as a Sunday option. Under the Governors guidelines, they cannot open or rent their facilities until our state is in phase three. This is also the case with Ocean 5 as a potential gathering place. We have been in conversations with other churches regarding the use of their facilities during off times. Know that we are very intentional in creating a venue to gather together again until we receive approval from the Peninsula School District.
In the meantime, we have several HCC families hosting Sunday morning HCC @ Home watch parties with their friends. This has become a great community builder and helps people stay connected. Thirdly, our small groups are starting up again this fall. If you would like to be in a small virtual group, you can sign up for a "5 fo 5" group. Meet five times with five people. CLICK HERE
