We Are Ready!

"Pivot" has become one of the keywords for 2020. The global pandemic has provided unprecedented opportunities to adjust and adapt, both individually and as a community. HCC at HOME, our worship and teaching content, pivoted to digital and virtual-delivered on our App, website, and social media platforms.

Ann Webb, our children and family ministries director, as well as PastorKramer Payne, our Generation Church student ministries director, pivoted to provide support for families and students to connect safely to spiritual resources and opportunities.

Thanks to the many leaders of our small group ministries who have pivoted in creative ways and continue to meet.  We anticipate starting more short term groups this fall called “5 for 5”. Details will be out in a couple of weeks.

Pastor Eli Chase and Jenifer Mendoza have guided a phenomenal pivot by our worship and technology team during this time. This includes re-organizing our trailer storage (thanks to Ron Martinez and our trailer team), moving all the equipment out of the former Boys and Girls club gymnasium (thanks to Chris Ballasiotes and Capital Communications), and installing all of the video, sound, lights and staging at Gig Harbor High School.

All of this work upgrades our audio and video capacities. When access to the school is allowed, we are excited to worship together, celebrating the good news of God's love with renewed excellence. All of these upgrades enhance our set-up and tear-down process, allowing us to host multiple services on a weekend. Consider signing up to volunteer on one of our weekend teams when we pivot back to live gatherings.
According to State Guidelines, when we return to live services, we will be able to have 25% capacity or 200 people per service. Also, we will be able to have a fully functional children’s programs with all the safeguards in place.

We are now awaiting approval from the school district as they begin to process the protocols for community groups like ours as to when we can start again. Once we receive approval, we will pivot to gathering live with two Sunday morning services (9:00 & 10:30).

Thank you for your prayerful patience. These are unprecedented times and we serve an unlimited God. Whatever we face, we know that the Holy Spirit leads our community and can enable us to pivot, moving forward with persistent hope.
