3 Prayers At 3PM Today!
Today our HCC staff will be focusing our prayer time on 3 specific events that have taken place this past week. Would you join us at 3 pm today by setting your smartphone alarm to go off at that time, and wherever you are, would you pray these 3 prayers with us?
Lord, your Word reminds us that You are “close to the brokenhearted and [You rescue] those whose spirits are crushed” (Psalm 34:18, NLT).
Draw close to the families and rescue them during their painful loss. Lift them up and give them hope once more. Let your presence and peace overcome their loss and grief. Comfort them at this moment as we intercede on their behalf."
Comfort them in this disaster. Be their rock when everything around them has collapsed or has been destroyed by this hurricane, and shelter them under your wings when homes no longer exist."

- "Father, we pray today for the families of our 13 military service members who lost their lives last week in Kabul airport during the evacuation of over 123,000 civilians and 6,000 Americans. The loss and the grief these families now face is something many of us cannot even begin to comprehend. They have made a sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy daily.

- "Lord, we pray for the over 1 million people of Louisiana who are now recovering from hurricane Ida. The devastation they are facing and the desperation they are now feeling are overwhelming. Hear their cry, oh Lord, as they begin to restore and rebuild their lives and businesses.
Comfort them in this disaster. Be their rock when everything around them has collapsed or has been destroyed by this hurricane, and shelter them under your wings when homes no longer exist."
- Lastly, we lift up the many refugees from Afghanistan who will be relocating to the U.S. in the next few months. We are grateful for their service as they provided aid and support for our service members while in Afghanistan. We pray for the refugees who have been forced to leave behind all they have ever known. Heal them from the trauma of fear, deprivation, loss, and abuse. Comfort them and give them peace and wholeness. Prepare us to be welcome them as friends who relieve their uncertainty.
